Klimapartner Südbaden e.V.
The operational management of the initiative, the 3H2 office, is organizationally affiliated with Klimapartnern Südbaden, the largest climate protection network in the region. As a founding member of the Trinational Hydrogen Initiative 3H2, Klimapartner Südbaden has supported the development of 3H2 from the very beginning.

Bringing together the relevant stakeholders for climate protection in the region and generating benefits for science, business and local authorities – that is the aim of the Klimapartner Südbaden e.V. association.
As the largest climate protection network in the region, the association is currently managing a number of projects that are advancing climate protection efforts in the region between Offenburg and Waldshut in a variety of ways. One of these major projects is 3H2.
The association brings together the right partners for implementation: innovative SMEs, universities, research institutions and local authorities are the target groups that provide support for research and development, investment projects and knowledge transfer.
The current 140 or so members also include numerous cities and municipalities, municipal companies and the skilled trades from the region – together, as important implementers of the energy transition, they provide local and regional feedback for the network. With the energy agencies, economic development agencies and chambers of commerce, the association can also rely on partners who support it with their important core functions.
In order to be able to implement the market ramp-up of a hydrogen economy in the border triangle, three chambers, three energy suppliers and three climate organizations from Germany, Switzerland and France as well as associated partners under the leadership of the association Strategische Partner- Klimaschutz am Oberrhein e.V. founded the Trinational Hydrogen Initiative 3H2.
