The IHK Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg Chamber is the voice for 37,000 companies. It networks companies, supports them with services and represents them in politics.
The IHK Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg therefore focuses on three things in its commitment to hydrogen:
1. linking the region to the infrastructure expansion plans.
2. integrating the companies into the networks of research, industry and the energy sector.
3. exchange of best practices for the use of hydrogen (focus: transport and traffic industry).
Hydrogen can become a central building block for the energy transition and climate protection. There is potential for the transport industry in the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg region in particular: in the purchase of vehicles, transportation as a fuel or production/supply on the company's own premises. Irrespective of this, it is important to connect rural areas to this form of energy. This is why the IHK is a partner in the trinational hydrogen initiative 3H2.
