IHK Südlicher Oberrhein
The Southern Upper Rhine is one of the strongest economic regions in Germany. As a founding member of the Trinational Hydrogen Initiative 3H2, the IHK Südlicher Oberrhein is committed to preparing the region’s business landscape for a hydrogen economy and helping to shape it itself in order to secure the framework conditions for the region’s economic success in the future.

From start-up to company succession, from small business to global market leader: the IHK Südlicher Oberrhein supports companies throughout their entire life cycle.
For more than 75,000 members in the Ortenau district, the districts of Emmendingen and Breisgau Hochschwarzwald and the city of Freiburg, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce is a reliable partner, experienced advisor and important source of information. In addition to the many services it offers, the IHK also takes on tasks assigned to it by the state, such as vocational training with its examination system, which is largely based on voluntary work. It also represents the interests of the regional economy vis-à-vis political decision-makers at state, federal and EU level: for an efficient infrastructure, moderate tax rates, more entrepreneurial freedom and less bureaucracy.
The IHK Südlicher Oberrhein is a founding member of 3H2 and is committed to preparing the corporate landscape for a hydrogen economy.
