As a system provider of products for gas, oil, water, and district heating, RMA’s products are successfully used worldwide. RMA is the market leader in German-speaking countries.
The RMA Group has also been developing and modifying its existing product range for some time now to meet future requirements regarding the hydrogen compatibility of valves.
Therefore, a testing program was developed in collaboration with SGS TÜV Saar, according to whose principles and strict guidelines the first RMA products were tested for use with 100% hydrogen as early as the beginning of February 2020. Rigid and flexible house entries, steel ball valves type HKSF-W (PMSS) and type HKSF (soft-sealed), PE ball valves, insulating couplings type IK, IKL, and ET, as well as rotary and gate valves were successfully tested using this procedure.
RMA Rheinau GmbH & Co. KG is responsible as project coordinator in the TransHyDE project “Secure Infrastructure”, which is one of the hydrogen flagship projects of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
