Due to its location on the border with Switzerland and France, the district of Lörrach has many points of contact with its neighboring countries. Good neighborly relations and lively contacts make for fruitful cooperation.
In the cross-border committees, politicians, administrative staff from all three countries and employees of specially established cross-border institutions work to simplify cooperation in the border region and improve it for the benefit of the inhabitants. They have already achieved a lot in the past, but still have a lot to do!
The district of Lörrach is committed to climate protection and in order to give greater visibility to the goal of climate neutrality by 2040, the district of Lörrach is offering a cooperation and networking space for all interested parties in the region with the REGIONAL.KLIMASCHUTZ.MACHEN alliance. This project follows on from the creation of the climate protection concept and supports its implementation.
