Stadtwerk am See GmbH & Co. KG
The Stadtwerk am See network connects the hydrogen activities of the partners in the Zeppelin Group and develops a sustainable energy infrastructure for them. Hydrogen plays a crucial role in this.

SWSee is the energy infrastructure partner in the Zeppelin group of companies.
The “Zeppelin companies”—ZF Friedrichshafen, MTU RollsRoyce, Zeppelin (Construction machinery, Power Systems), Friedrichshafen Airport, Messe Friedrichshafen, LZ Group, move+, and Stadtwerk am See—share a common founding and technological history. Each of the companies will have hydrogen in its portfolio in the future: in engines, in energy applications, in aviation and shipping, and in residential areas. Stadtwerk am See is networking the partners’ hydrogen activities and developing a sustainable energy infrastructure for them.
Lakeside Energy Park Project – Development Laboratory for H2 Applications in Aeronautics, Shipping, and Space: In the Lake Constance district, there are many companies that require hydrogen, albeit in small quantities, at a very early stage. They are not only developers of propulsion systems for aviation, shipping, and land transport or manufacturers of large stationary power units, but also developers of test benches for such units. Long before new technologies and units reach the market, they are required to demonstrate the H2 resistance of their test benches and systems. SWSee aims to support these companies by providing an early-availability H2 infrastructure, thus strengthening Lake Constance as a development location. Stadtwerk am See

The lakeside region is predestined to be a real-world laboratory for the use of hydrogen in mobility and decentralized systems – this is where the use cases are, where the industrial partners are, and this is where Stadtwerk am See wants to make a contribution to the energy future by providing an early availability of hydrogen infrastructure.
