Netze-Gesellschaft Südwest mbH (Netze Südwest) and its predecessor companies can look back on more than 30 years of gas supply in Baden-Württemberg. Netze Südwest is regulated by the state regulatory authority of Baden-Württemberg and is the largest gas network operator supervised by the authority. In collaboration with DBI Gas- und Umwelttechnik, Netze-Gesellschaft Südwest mbH has carried out a transformation study for the conversion of its grid areas to 100% hydrogen. The study contains a detailed inventory of the network components with comprehensive surveys on hydrogen readiness. Based on this, the company has developed concrete measures and a solid cost calculation to upgrade its grids in North Baden and Upper Swabia for the use of 100% hydrogen.
