The H2-HUB Switzerland pursues regional and supra-regional goals:
1. ensuring a climate-neutral and secure energy supply for Switzerland.
2. establishing the Basel region as a Swiss-wide hydrogen hub and promoting the production and use of green hydrogen and its derivatives regionally and nationally
3. realization of Switzerland’s connection to the European “Hydrogen Backbone” by 2030
4. ensuring the north-south connection through Switzerland to Italy by 2040
The H2 HUB Switzerland takes over executive activities for 3H2 on the Swiss side. The joint Hydrogen Valley Südbaden project aims to drive forward the hydrogen ramp-up in the border triangle.
