The Franco-German Business Club Upper Rhine was founded in May 2005 by German and French entrepreneurs at the suggestion of the Franco-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
The aim of the club is to bring German and French companies together at social gatherings, conferences and other events in order to promote exchange and create a genuine cross-border network of entrepreneurs. The club is part of a network of 19 Franco-German business clubs in Germany and France.
The club has around 250 members, including heads of German and French industrial and commercial companies, managers and senior executives from companies in both countries, representatives of various institutions and players from the worlds of science, art and culture.

We see the Trinational Hydrogen Initiative as an important sub-project for developing the Upper Rhine region into a cross-border sustainability model region. A joint energy platform will not only ensure compliance with the 1.5 degree target for climate protection, but will also become the basis for real industrial growth in the three neighboring countries.
