Fraunhofer ISE published the “Hydrogen Potential Atlas for Germany” on May 14.

This shows suitable locations for the production of green hydrogen in Germany. It identifies and evaluates where electrolysers can be optimally operated for various business models in industry and transportation. It takes into account not only potential hydrogen sales and delivery via trailer or pipeline, but also the possibilities of using by-products such as oxygen and waste heat.

On June 23, 2025, Fraunhofer ISE will host a free webinar from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to present the web interface and the modeling and methodology behind the atlas. The perfect opportunity to use the atlas for your own questions and to find out which electrolyzer locations are optimal for your own business model.
