#9 Sustainable hydrogen produced by a record-breaking 10 MW plant in Baden-Württemberg
Visit to Germany’s largest sustainable hydrogen production facility

On April 15th, we had the pleasure of visiting the 10 MW hydrogen facility of the French company Lhyfe with 27 participants from the 3H2 network and the GreenSKHy network.

The day began at Schwäbisch Gmünd Town Hall with presentations by the City of Schwäbisch Gmünd (Alexander Groll and Selina Kolb), H2 Wandel (Michael Bächler), H2 Mobility (Claus Ammon), and the company Lhyfe (Pascal Louvet). The projects and visions presented offered numerous opportunities for exchange throughout the day.

In the afternoon, participants had the opportunity to visit what is currently the largest production facility for sustainable hydrogen in Germany. With its energy capacity, the facility produces enough hydrogen to fill up to 8 hydrogen trailers simultaneously on a daily basis.

Visits like these show us: the hydrogen economy in Baden-Württemberg and beyond is taking concrete shape – with real projects, real partners, and real commitment.

A huge thank you to the City of Schwäbisch Gmünd, Lhyfe, all the speakers, as well as all GreenSKHy and 3H2 partners from France, Germany, and beyond who made their way to Schwäbisch Gmünd and made this day so special.
