Workshop on “Approval, Certification, and Standardization” in the Field of Fuel Cells and Hydrogen
The workshop at Fraunhofer ISE focuses on questions regarding the approval of components and systems that arise during the construction of hydrogen energy systems.

Standards and norms mean safety – both for manufacturers and buyers. For products manufactured for the production, conversion, and processing of hydrogen, standardization regulations and standards still need to be defined in many cases.

This 13th workshop on “Approval – Certification – Standardization” in the field of fuel cells and hydrogen on February 20 and 21, 2024, invites you to:

  • Gain an overview of current developments in existing norms and standards, as well as experience reports from current approval and standardization work.
  • You will be able to exchange ideas with experts in the field of approval, certification, and standardization and benefit from their expertise.
  • You will be able to contribute your own topics to the joint exchange and thus play a pioneering role in the development of new norms and standards.
  • You will be able to build a network that can continue to support your work in the field of approval, certification, and standardization in the future.

The workshop is aimed at end users, plant operators, and employees in research institutions working on fuel cell and electrolysis applications, as well as certification bodies and hydrogen system integrators, but also employees in committees who would like to expand their knowledge.

This workshop is jointly organized by the research institutions DLR Institute for Networked Energy Systems, Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, and the Center for Fuel Cell Technology ZBT GmbH.

The workshop takes place on a recurring basis.
